Alefiyah Mesiwala, M.D., MPH, is a board-certified preventive medicine physician, former Senior Healthcare Advisor to President Obama, and an expert in healthcare innovation and payment reform. She is currently the Senior Medical Director for Innovation and Value-based Care at the UPMC Health Insurance Services Division at UPMC and leads the design and implementation of value-based reimbursement models across the UPMC Health Plan network.
