Board Certifications

Dr. Lavin is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics to practice pediatric medicine. In addition, he holds a second board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine giving him certification in newborn medicine. This unusual combination (one of only two doctors so certified in Cuyahoga County) allows Advanced Pediatrics to provide expert health care and analysis throughout a patient's entire childhood.

In 2009, Dr. Lavin was selected as a recipient of a Patient's Choice recognition for making a difference in people's lives. BUSINESS

In 2003, Microsoft selected Advanced Pediatrics to be included as a case study in their Launch of Office and Small Business Server 2003, the only medical office in the United States to be selected. The video case study was distributed to 60,000 IT vendors across the world and in 2005 was ranked #5 in global viewing of all Microsoft small business video case studies.

Also in 2003, Advanced Pediatrics was selected as a Medem Case showcasing the use of web pages in medical practice in the United States. Medem is a consortium of more than 30 national professional societies, such as the AMA and American Academy of Pediatrics.
